Senior Elementary Class - News & Events

We are pleased to welcome Miss. Elicia as our Senior Elementary Directress.  Miss. Elicia has been teaching students in Vancouver, Delta, Surrey and Taiwan for six years.  This year's Senior Elementary class will be made up of our Year Three, Four and Five students.

Students should bring the following items to keep in the classroom on the first day of school:

• a plant of their choice
• a pair of indoor shoes with non-marking soles (preferably gym runners)
• a recent photo of themselves
• a toothbrush and toothpaste in a cup labeled with their name

In addition to math, language and physical education, some of the topics that the students can look forward to studying are:

Year Three:

• solar system
• First Nations people of Canada
• plant structures and vital functions of animals

Year Four:

• Canada and its natural geography
• prehistoric man
• the cosmic task of plants

Year Five:

• plate tectonics
• weather
• Canadian history
• chemistry

Many of these cultural themes will incorporate both field trips and artistic expression.

We are so excited that our Elementary students will be going camping from September 17 to 20.  They will have an opportunity to participate in activities such as canoeing, day hikes, low ropes courses and natural history studies which will help them to discover a sense of their own self, grow physically and emotionally and build a strong support group with their peers for the upcoming year.
