Winter Wonderland

When it snows
ain’t it thrilling
Though your nose gets a chilling
We’ll frolic and play
the Eskimo way
walking in a winter wonderland!

After School Art Club

I am very proud to showcase a few pictures of the wonderful work my friends from the After School arts and crafts program did during their first term of school. We stayed true to ourselves by using recycled materials and turning them into beautiful art pieces and/or crafts. I believe it is very important for everyone to be able to decorate their room, their house, and their life with things that their own hands have created. The process of constructing these pieces shapes children’s imagination and creativity, and calls them to be brave to try something new. In every class, we create different projects using different materials, different approaches, and different techniques. And we have so much fun experimenting and exploring together!

In this busy new millennium, when children are excessively exposed to technology, it is crucial for them to be busy and to develop creative interests using their hands. Please see for yourself their beautiful creations!”

Camp Potlatch June 2016

This year, we returned to Camp located on the shores of Howe Sound. Camp staff, supported by accompanying school staff, helped guide students in activities such as canoeing, day hikes, low ropes courses and natural history studies that inspired their confidence to embrace new challenges.

One of our guiding principles here at Children of Integrity is to provide a wide variety of meaningful and enriching learning opportunities to help children attain their fullest potential. One such opportunity is our annual Elementary Camp trip, which has proven to be a wonderful way for students to discover a sense of independence, to challenge themselves physically and emotionally, and to create a memorable closure to the school year with their peers and teachers.

While our Senior Elementary (YR 4-7) participated in two skiing lessons on two separate occasions, our Elementary class (YR 1-3) went tobogganing for the day at Mt. Seymour!  The sunshine was amazing!

Our annual Fall Carnival was a huge success!  We are grateful to the amazing community we have here at COI!  Thank you to our Fall Carnival Committee for planning and implementing all that is required in making this much loved event a success: Antonaeta, Kim, Amber, Lydia, Susan, Ruza, Linda, Liz, Colleen and Carolina.  Of course, our carnival couldn’t run without our amazing student volunteers from Hope Lutheran School who helped run the games and stations! We also are thankful for the amazing cake contributions made by: Laura, Selina, Helen, Eva, Joanna, Carolina, Nana, Linda and Lisa!

Our silent auction was amazing!  We are grateful for all the wonderful contributions made by our school families and local businesses!

Casa at Applebarn

We love visiting The Taves Family Applebarn in Abbotsford!  This year, our Casa classes fed animals in the petting zoo, explored the corn maze and rode the train to the pumpkin patch where they each picked a pumpkin of their choice to take home!

Graduation 2015

We can scarcely believe that another wonderful year with your children is drawing to a close!  Earlier this year, our planning began in earnest for one of the important milestones in our school calendar ~ graduation!

We are pleased to have hosted a graduation ceremony in honour of our Kindergarten, Year 3 Elementary graduates, and Year 6 Senior Elementary graduates! These important benchmarks reflect an integral aspect of the Montessori curriculum: successful completion of the three-year learning cycle. We are so excited to have honoured this significant achievement for these students, and invited the entire school community to share in this special celebration!

Our celebration included songs featuring ALL of our students, short speeches from our graduates and a surprise video. Thank you to everyone for attending!
